Faith Promise Missions

Missions is an integral part of Heritage Baptist Church.  We actively support 50 missionaries/ministries around the world as well as in the United States.  Our annual Faith Promise Missions conference is held each January.  During this conference we are encouraged by preachers and guest missionaries to be a part of missions through sacrificial giving and prayer support.  Since Jan. 2024 the church has given over $1 million to Missions since the start of HBC in 2007.

Grounded in Christ Podcast

Subscribe to the weekly podcast, Grounded in Christ.  The purpose of the podcast is to help the Believer learn the Scriptures ("precept upon precept" Isaiah 28:10,13), to encourage the believer to be a student of the Word, be a servant in your local church and a better Christian as you live for Christ.

Music

God honoring worship is something we strive for at Heritage Baptist Church.  There are opportunities to be involved through congregational singing, ensembles, playing an instrument in our orchestra or using your gift the Lord gave you through special music.

Music

We host an annual Music School led by Bro. Cody White from Tennessee.  He joins us for a week of teaching the body of Christ how to read music, glorify the Lord through singing four part harmony,  theory classes for beginner to advanced students and congregational singing.

Vacation Bible School

We kick off each June with Vacation Bible School.  Our church puts on an incredible week dedicated to our children teaching them Bible principles that will impact them for years to come.

Our curriculum comes from Answers in Genesis which includes music, Bible lessons, crafts and science time, recreation and large assembly with a live drama team all building upon the solid principles within the theme of each year's curriculum.

Heritage Seekers

On Wednesday nights, kids ages 4-12 meet for Heritage Seekers.  This class teaches our children to use their hands in basic life skills to glorify the Lord.  Each semester the children are given badge cards to earn various badges related to the skill set they are learning during this time.

Community Outreach

Everyone at Heritage Baptist is encouraged to personally witness and pass out gospel tracts.  From the start of Heritage Baptist church we've collectively given out well over half a million gospel tracts. From time to time there are organized gospel outreaches and evangelism as well as mass mailing of every door direct mailers in the community.

We've participated in the annual Picayune Christmas parade for the past 17 years using this opportunity to be a witness.  We don't take these opportunities lightly and thank the Lord for the freedoms to be a witness in our community.

Discipleship

We strive to fulfill the Biblical mandates of scripture - II Timothy 2:2 "Commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."  There are discipleship opportunities for new believers, Sunday School classes for all ages, Bible Institute training classes and more opportunities to learn the word of God at Heritage Baptist Church.

This is a state of the art workshop with multiple woodturning lathes, a bandsaw, table saws, drill presses and many non powered hand tools to teach skills of woodworking by hand.

Family Camp

A highlight for our church is our annual Family Camp held each fall.  We host on-sight at Heritage Baptist Church.  It's a week full of family fun and fellowship, cooking competitions, outdoor games, Derby Car races, edifying music, solid Biblical preaching on the home, a Mercantile store and more!
